Fiji Day - Public Holiday

Fiji Day public holiday will be on Saturday 10th October 2020 and has been gazetted under the Employment Relations (Administration) Regulations 2008.

Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Youth and Sports Honorable Parveen Kumar has highlighted that workers who will be employed during there public holiday required to be remunerated accordingly in accordance with the minimum terms and conditions of the relevant wages regulations in force.

The custom of having a public holiday on the following Monday will no longer take place, and therefore Monday 12th October will be a normal working day.
